Description and Summary of Workshop:
This_workshop_reconstructed_modifications_and_visuals_that_can_be_used_for_students_
with disabilities. Presenters discussed classroom structure, visual cues, organization, modification, of academics and techniques for teaching social skills. It was very interactive and attendees created visuals for the classroom, bus, desk organization, reading, writing, math, science, and social studies aids. Reinforcement systems, behavior strategies, social skills, visual bridges, social stories, social scripting, schedules, storage and data collection were also discussed.
How does it or does not relate to the future for the AHRC Education Department?

Ideas presented could be duplicated and shown/demonstrated to the HOPE team, head teachers, and/or psychologists in the agency for distribution. The handout could also be copied and distributed. See attached. Asked Audrey to order book for AHRC library “More Social Stories: very personal picture stories” by Anne Marie Johnson, burping, sneezing, nosepicking and very important last chapter on self-touching.
